Job Description
Job Description The selected candidate performs various receiving & material management tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of communication systems, supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems. Provides guidance to customers and internal requestors for receiving services on the best way to handle receipt of material to meet requested delivery dates and to make sure material is protected until delivery at its destination. Will be responsible for balancing workloads of receivers, to best match skill level, with material/equipment pending receipt. Will be involved in and oversees the receipt of parts and systems ordered or pushed to us in support of government projects. Works with vendors and BAE Systems and Government Machine Shops to obtain packing slips and other required documentation for proper receipt and gov't record creation. Will produce input to various periodic reports and will manage and approve all labor for employees assigned. Approves leave of employees, prepares mid-year and end of year evaluations and assists with employee actions as required. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas. Required Education, Experience, & Skills High school diploma and at least 6 years of related experience OR Associate degree and at least 4 years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related experience Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Past work experience with SASSI (logistical management database) or similiar database Competence at a demonstrated high level of proficiency and experience with: MS Office software products•Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; Adobe software products•Acrobat Reader and Adobe Professional Supervisor / manager experience Knowledge of government contractor receiving tasking
