Job Description

The Soldering Technician is an individual contributor responsible for producing clean, strong, and repeatable hand solder joints in component assembly. This role involves working 10-20 hours per week, ensuring quality through per batch inspections, and occasionally collaborating with other departments. The technician must work carefully following wiring diagrams and written instructions, adeptly solder connectors and wires without defects, and adhere to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform hand soldering of components, connectors, and wires with precision Assemble electronic components according to wiring diagrams and instructions Conduct quality inspections on each batch of soldered assemblies Ensure safety compliance in all soldering and material handling practices Handle materials and components safely and efficiently Apply techniques such as stripping, tipping, joining, heat-shrinking, and strain relief Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience in soldering Technical certificate in electronics or a related field Proficient in soldering techniques and electronic component identification Knowledge of quality control processes, blueprint reading, and safety procedures Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and time management skills
Pay:
$17.39 - $30.58 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
