Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our seafood manufacturing team. The Quality Control Technician plays an important role in ensuring that our seafood products are safe, high-quality, and produced according to company specifications and applicable food safety regulations. This position works closely with Production to monitor processing activities, perform product inspections and testing, maintain accurate records, and identify potential food safety or quality concerns. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-operational (Pre-Op), in-process, and finished product inspections to verify compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Perform HACCP monitoring, GMP audits, sanitation checks, and temperature verification activities. Assist with internal inspections, customer requirements, regulatory inspections, and third-party audits.
  • Verify hygiene practices, product specifications, labeling, packaging, coding, and weight accuracy.
  • Identify, document, and report quality or food safety concerns; support corrective actions as needed. Assist with product traceability, lot identification, and recordkeeping.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to maintain food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Perform other quality-control duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow procedures. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced seafood processing and food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey quality and food safety concerns.
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated, wet, and production-based environments.
Preferred:
Previous experience in seafood processing, food manufacturing, quality control, or food safety. Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, and food safety principles. HACCP, PCQI, or other food safety training/certification. Familiarity with FDA, or other applicable seafood regulatory requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Comfortable working in cold, wet, and refrigerated processing areas. Capable of bending, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Adhere to PPE and safety requirements.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
