Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technologist to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance by performing laboratory testing, supporting investigations, and maintaining accurate records in alignment with regulatory and customer requirements. Role and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Monitor and enforce food safety and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, FSMA, SQF/BRC).
- Operate and monitor the extraction line quality control processes.
- Maintain documentation and records for quality control processes.
- Perform routine quality checks on raw materials and in-process production.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and laboratory tests as needed.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues or deviations.
- Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support production teams with quality training and best practices.
- Recommend improvements to enhance product consistency and efficiency. Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or quality control.
- Ability to perform basic math and reading.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills
- Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner is a plus
- Certification in ISO 9001 and 22002 is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field is a plus.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
