Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Technologist to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring product quality, food safety, and compliance by performing laboratory testing, supporting investigations, and maintaining accurate records in alignment with regulatory and customer requirements. ​​Role and Responsibilities​
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Monitor and enforce food safety and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, FSMA, SQF/BRC).
  • Operate and monitor the extraction line quality control processes.
  • Maintain documentation and records for quality control processes.
  • Perform routine quality checks on raw materials and in-process production.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and laboratory tests as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues or deviations.
  • Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support production teams with quality training and best practices.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance product consistency and efficiency. ​​Qualifications and Education Requirements​
  • 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or quality control.
  • Ability to perform basic math and reading.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. ​​Preferred Skills​
  • Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or SQF Practitioner is a plus
  • Certification in ISO 9001 and 22002 is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field is a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
