Onsite A manufacturing company is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator to operate a variety of fabrication equipment used to manufacture sheet metal parts. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone looking to establish a long-term career in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating machines, following blueprints and work instructions, inspecting finished parts, maintaining equipment, and meeting daily production and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have mechanical skills, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment. Manufacturing experience is a plus. What You'll Do Read, interpret, and follow job tags, work instructions, and blueprints Operate various fabrication equipment, including Laser, Punch, Press Brake, Roller, Shear, Deburr Machine, Cobot Welder, and Tumbler Operate different types of press brakes and punch machines Set up required fabrication equipment according to work instructions Select the proper tooling and sheet stock for each job Use hand tools, power tools, fork trucks, and pallet jacks Measure and inspect parts using calipers and other measuring equipment Set up and maintain required tolerances Follow and maintain 5S and TPM schedules Perform regular machine maintenance, including cleaning, greasing, and checking fluid levels Report machine or equipment issues to the team leader or supervisor Work with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards Focus on doing the job correctly the first time to ensure customer satisfaction Support on-time delivery and meet daily production standards Follow all safety requirements and manufacturing procedures Use Lean tools and concepts to identify and eliminate waste throughout the manufacturing process Participate in individual and team improvement activities focused on improving the flow of information and materials Identify root causes of problems and help develop process improvements Perform other duties as assigned by supervision What We're Looking For Mechanical skills and basic mechanical knowledge Basic computer skills Basic math skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions Ability to use calipers and other measuring equipment Ability to properly set up and operate fabrication machinery Ability to select appropriate tooling and sheet stock Ability to perform basic machine maintenance Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing the job right the first time Ability to work safely around mechanical equipment Manufacturing experience is a plus Ability to work effectively as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift 10-20 pounds frequently Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically Ability to assist with two-person lifting of loads up to 100 pounds occasionally Ability to stand, stoop, crawl, climb, and bend for up to 8 hours Ability to crawl and climb while working in and around mechanical equipment Key Performance Expectations Right the first time Support on-time delivery Meet daily production standards Work safely Maintain quality and customer satisfaction Identify and eliminate waste using Lean concepts Masis Staffing is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
