Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Control Technician I role primarily tests product and raw material samples to ensure that they meet defined quality specification. Quality Control Technician I may also help engineers and chemists develop, test, and research chemical processes on products.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks. Understand and operate basic lab instruments. Set up, maintains, cleans, and sterilizes laboratory instruments and equipment. Actively participate in 5S. Perform in-process and final product testing Carry out routine tasks accurately Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced. Determine appropriate product adjustments for out of specification in-process results Ensure that all non-conforming material is appropriately identified and quarantined per procedure Sample and test incoming raw materials Provide support and feedback to manufacturing Assist Quality Control Supervisor & Director of Quality, Regulatory, EHS&S and IMS Occupational Health, Safety & Environment Observe and conduct chemical experiments, test, and analysis. Maintain lab equipment in good working condition Maintain the lab in a clean and orderly manner Perform testing of retains and returned product for customer complaints Assist in developing/improving test methods All other duties, as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience Associate degree from an accredited college or university 2 years of similar QC Lab related experience (preferred) ERP experience (preferred) Experience working in an ISO certified company is preferred Knowledge & Skills Capable of working independently to manage day-to-day tasks Advanced user type understanding of the Microsoft Office 365 &
Suites:
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Familiarity with an ERP solution (i.e., SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, etc.) Creativity in approaching complex challenges and problems

Ability to work effectively with team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines and communication styles Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; written and oral communication Ability to handle a multitude of different situations; sometimes simultaneously Strong organizational and time-management skills, including ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Humble and willing to seek knowledge without hesitation
