Monday-Friday Pay:
$20 per hour About the Position We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Scale Operator to join our team at a busy aggregate pit. The Scale Operator is responsible for accurately weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, processing tickets, maintaining accurate records, and providing professional service to drivers and customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in accuracy and customer service. Key Responsibilities Operate the truck scale and scale-house computer system. Weigh trucks accurately entering and leaving the aggregate pit. Issue tickets and record material quantities, customer information, and truck details. Verify orders and ensure the correct products and quantities are loaded. Communicate with truck drivers, customers, pit personnel, and dispatch. Maintain accurate daily production and sales records. Collect and process payments when required. Monitor radio communications and coordinate truck traffic. Answer phones and assist customers with questions about products and orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional scale-house environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous scale-house, aggregate, construction, trucking, dispatch, or customer-service experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills and ability to learn scale and ticketing software. Good communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screening. What We Offer Full-time Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays
