Job Title:
Fasteners Technician Job Description We are seeking a Fasteners Technician to join our team. This role involves setting up and running joint testing for resourced parts, executing test plans, and collaborating with engineers to ensure quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive tools and data collection, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities Set up and run joint testing for resourced parts, executing the test plan provided by engineers. Collate data for A-B testing, where 'A' parts are from outgoing suppliers and 'B' parts are from incoming suppliers. Prepare test reports and review them with the Engineering team and Managers. Proactively follow-through on responsible activities along with required documentation to meet milestones and deliverables. Essential Skills Knowledge of various automotive tools such as wrenches and sockets. Familiarity with Atlas Copco and Stanley tools is an advantage. Comfortable working with computers for data collection. Strong organizational skills to manage parts and test request information. Ability to manually set up fixtures and parts for joint testing. Willingness to learn new skills and share insights with others. Additional Skills & Qualifications Diploma or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline. 5+ years of automotive experience, focusing on fasteners for powertrain and automotive systems. Knowledge of automotive fasteners, joints, and power tool technology. Experience in testing, data collection, documentation, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong communication and presentation skills. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work collaboratively. Work Environment The Fasteners Technician will work primarily in a lab setting, setting up and running necessary tests to support the resourcing of parts. The role requires comfort with using computers for data collection and working with various automotive tools. The work environment encourages collaboration, learning, and sharing of insights and experiences. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
