Dexter, MI Department:
Quality Shift:
Day Shift - Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Overtime as required)
Starting Pay:
$20.00/hour minimum , based on experience Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Quality Department. Responsibilities Perform in-process inspections on the manufacturing line through visual inspection, physical measurement, and functional testing to ensure product specifications are met. Collect daily part samples, including moving sample pans and performing light lifting as needed. Inspect parts using a variety of precision measuring equipment, including: Micrometers Calipers Depth Micrometers Comparators Indicators Pin Gages Thread Gages Bubble Testers Other specialized gages as required Conduct process audits in accordance with Dapco standards. Read and interpret blueprints, Quality Control Instructions, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Maintain compliance with quality system requirements and established manufacturing standards. Identify quality issues and deviations from specifications. Accurately document inspection results using verbal, written, and computer-based reporting. Complete disposition tags legibly and maintain a thorough understanding of Dapco Industries' tagging system. Participate in sorting and rework activities as needed. Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment required. Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately. Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and stay organized. Effective communication and computer skills. Reliable attendance is essential. Must be willing and able to work overtime when required.
