Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Beertender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beer and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Beertender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving food & beverages as well as various merchandise, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience. Your ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining high standards of service will be key to your success in this role. Duties Pour and serve beer to customers responsibly, adhering to TiPS training guidelines and following proper beer pouring procedures Open and close tabs and process payments through a point-of-sale system (Square), and accurately tender money/give change for purchases made in taproom Prepare and serve food items as necessary Fill crowlers/growlers for off-premise consumption Demonstrate knowledge of and recommend Upper Hand beers to customers Maintain a clean and organized taproom, including bar area, tables, restrooms, patio, floors, windows, doors, etc.; wash and store glassware Restock taproom supplies, including beer (keg and package), snacks, and merchandise Coordinate activities/duties with team members to execute a smooth, flowing experience for patrons Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during busy periods Experience in bartending with knowledge of various beer styles and trends is preferred Proficient in using cash registers and point-of-sale systems (Square) Familiarity with brewing techniques is a plus Sales skills to promote beer and food specials or upsell menu items effectively Background in the food industry is preferred, enhancing understanding of service dynamics Join our team as a Beertender where your skills will shine, and your contributions will make a difference in creating memorable experiences for our guests!
