Quality Technician Posted on July 7, 2026 July 7, 2026 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a Quality Technician to support quality assurance and inspection activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing product inspections, verifying compliance with engineering specifications, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and experience using precision measurement equipment to ensure products meet established quality standards. Position Responsibilities Product Inspection Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured components. Verify product conformity using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment. Identify and document nonconforming materials and products. Quality Assurance Ensure products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Assist in maintaining quality documentation and inspection records. Support corrective and preventive action activities to improve product quality. Measurement & Testing Utilize calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Perform dimensional inspections and verify measurement accuracy. Maintain calibration awareness for inspection equipment. Documentation & Reporting Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality reports. Prepare documentation for audits and internal quality reviews. Assist with data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Office applications. Continuous Improvement Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve manufacturing processes. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Support ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and product consistency. Prerequisites High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus. Minimum of three years of practical or technical experience in quality control or CNC machining within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, indicators, thread gauges, and pin gauges. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensional tolerances, revision blocks, and English-to-metric conversions. At least one year of experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work. Reliable attendance and a stable employment history. Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) GD&T Certification
