Job Title:
Lab Technician - API Non LC Job Description Join our team as a Lab Technician where you will conduct routine testing using a variety of chemistry techniques and equipment on samples from the API NonLC group. This role involves testing API products created for both our products and our customers. Techniques include UV-VIS, LOD, pH, and physical testing. Please note that Liquid Chromatography is conducted in a different lab. Daily huddles or gemba meetings will guide the day's testing priorities, and you will only perform tests or work on equipment for which you have been fully trained. Responsibilities Conduct routine testing on API samples using a range of chemistry techniques. Participate in daily huddles or gemba meetings to determine testing priorities. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals and ensure compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations. Perform tests only after receiving full training and demonstrating competency. Essential Skills Proficiency in chemistry and laboratory techniques. Familiarity with FDA, GMP, and GLP regulations. Experience with UV-VIS, pH, and other testing methods. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related life-science field. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minor in Chemistry preferred for standout candidates. Ability to perform lower technical tasks such as equipment calibration and lab maintenance with a positive attitude. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a diverse team. Work Environment This role is based in a standard lab environment regulated by cGMP and FDA standards. The lab has a good mix of new and tenured staff, requiring the ability to work with diverse team members. You will work as an individual contributor and as part of a team, participating in daily meetings to discuss goals and tasks. Training involves shadowing an analyst or scientist, performing tests under supervision, and eventually working independently once competency is demonstrated. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
