Job Description

Job Title:
Measurement Specialist Key Roles and Responsibilities Support / Control - Gauge Calibration System Understand Quality System (ISO 9001 and
IATF 16949
) Proficient with Gauge Calibration and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Control Gauge and Measurement Systems per Plant Procedures and Work Instructions Procurement of New / Replacement Gauges Operator/programmer for dimensional measurement equipment such as CMM & Conturograph Train others on equipment use Create programs Run programs Member of APQP team Assist in developing new processes Provide inspection methods Equipment selection support and purchase Gauge Evaluations and Studies (R&R, Linearity, etc.) Measurement sample support PPAP Full Dimensional layouts Maintain master PPAP samples Gather data for PPAP Assemble PPAP packages for submission to customer Maintain and update PPAP folders Engineering & Manufacturing Support Support engineering with dimensional layout and documentation
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience (minimum qualifications) High School Diploma or GED Experience reading blueprints Experience in monitoring and calibrating gauge and gauge systems Experience of calibration standards and quality system requirements for calibration systems Experience programming & operating
ZEISS CMM
with Calypso software Use of gauges such as Micrometer, caliper & all other basic measuring equipment Knowledge of APQP and PPAP Ability to work with GD&T Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong math skills Ability to read gauges
COMPUTER SKILLS
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Teams) Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Outlook (E-mail)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
REASONING SKILLS
Strong Problem solving skills Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions
