The Quality Inspector will inspect, test, and measure materials and finished products, document inspection results, identify non-conforming products, and support continuous quality improvement throughout the production process. Key Responsibilities Inspect, test, and measure materials and finished products to verify compliance with specifications. Accurately record inspection and test results and maintain detailed quality documentation. Use a variety of inspection equipment, including: Calipers and micrometers Rulers and height gauges Gauges and thread gauges Gauge pins Optical comparators Surface testers Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Accept or reject finished products based on established specifications. Tag and identify products or materials that do not meet quality requirements. Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and written work instructions. Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) . Recommend adjustments to assembly or production processes to improve product quality. Calibrate or verify inspection and test instruments as required. Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation. Follow all company safety procedures and promote continuous improvement. Communicate quality issues and findings with production and other departments. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of quality inspection experience using common hand gauges or equivalent inspection equipment. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and engineering drawings. Basic understanding of GD&T. Ability to calibrate or verify inspection instruments and maintain accurate records. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of computers and electronics. Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of experience programming and operating a DCC CMM . Working knowledge of quality standards. ASQ certification . Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed. Physical Requirements Regularly perform activities requiring standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, balancing, and handling materials. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly . Work in environments that may include loud noise, dirt, dust, grease, gases, and odors. Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection. Ability to perform close-up, detailed inspection and computer work, as well as distance vision. Regular and predictable attendance is required.
