Full Job Description Shift :
6:00 AM-2:30 PM shift.
Pay :
22.00/hr. on w2 Job Summary Client is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of quality inspection experience and is comfortable using common inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
First couple of weeks:
The position will be on the 6:00 AM-2:30 PM shift . Key Responsibilities Inspect, test, and measure materials, components, and finished products. Accurately record inspection and test results.
Use inspection equipment including:
Calipers Micrometers Rulers Gauges and gauge pins Thread gauges Height gauges Optical comparators Surface testers CMM equipment Identify, tag, and document products or materials that do not meet specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions. Understand and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles. Recommend process adjustments to improve product quality. Calibrate or verify inspection and test equipment. Maintain accurate quality records and documentation. Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with production and other departments to resolve quality issues. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of quality inspection experience using common hand gauges or equivalent inspection equipment. Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and engineering drawings. Basic understanding of GD&T. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments. Ability to maintain accurate records. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of experience programming and operating a DCC CMM . Knowledge of quality standards and inspection processes. ASQ certification is a plus. Previous automotive or manufacturing quality experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to climb, stoop, bend, balance, and handle materials. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly . Comfortable working around loud noise, dirt, dust, grease, gases, and odors. Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection. Good vision and ability to perform detailed inspection and computer-related work. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Schedule & Overtime Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
