Michigan Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate system turnover packages: Manage system/subsystem turnover dossiers ("TOPs"), including issuing walk-down invitations, combining check-sheets, punch lists, certifications and O&M manuals into final formats
  • Punch-list and inspection tracking: Generate, assign and follow up on punch list items (RFC, ITR) in master punch databases, liaising with QC inspectors, erection or commissioning leads until closure
  • Update inspection and turnover tracking tools: Maintain the Turnover System Tracking Report,
  • Completions databases like Go-Completions HUB2 or similar, reflecting progress of systems by tag, discipline, phase
  • Gap analysis & quality control: Compare contractor QC and ITR documentation against scope/design
  • (P&IDs/ISOs), flag missing elements or discrepancies, ensure replace or align with approved check-sheets if needed
  • Coordinate multi-discipline teams: Facilitate integration with electrical, instrumentation, mechanical,
  • QA/QC, commissioning, construction teams during pre-turnover evaluation and handover processes
  • Facilitate turnover walk-downs and meetings: Lead inspections and turnover walk-downs, ensure all
  • stakeholders attend and sign off documents; run weekly turnover meetings with project
  • Prepare status reports and deliverables: Generate system completion reports, daily/weekly turnover progress updates, and submit completed turnover packages to client or document control
  • Support Quality Management and audits: Assist with internal/external QA audits under ISO
  • 9001 frameworks, maintain non-conformance registers, corrective actions, training, continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure smooth commissioning handover: Work with commissioning team to ensure each system turned over is ready for commissioning and operations, all documentation delivered and correctly
Authority:
  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
All personnel involved in the walk-down must adhere to site safety requirements. Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) must be confirmed for any live systems. Inspection to be coordinated with commissioning and operations teams to avoid conflict with startup activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with QA/QC processes in mechanical and process systems.
  • Experience working on pharma or medical device projects
  • Ability to interpret and verify P&IDs, ISO drawings, and system documentation.
  • Familiarity with welding, construction codes, standards, and inspection protocols.
  • Skilled in conducting joint walk-downs with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Able to lead or support turnover meetings and present documentation effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with good recordkeeping and reporting abilities. Benefits
