$19.00/hr
Shift :
Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-3:00am
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work within the quality group at our Novi facility to support the Manufacturing, Production, and Quality initiatives for transmission systems and components. Utilize knowledge of inspection and measuring to perform inspections, verifying that the products are meeting design or spec requirements Keep records and communicate non-conformances to support quality initiatives and projects according to customer requirements, TS1694 or/and
IATF 16949
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor. Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Analyzing information, reporting research results, and documentation skills, Proficient in different measuring tools Proficiency in CMM programming and operation, dimensional metrology, measurement, inspection methods, and calibration. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines Excellent communication skills: verbal & written Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work amongst cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Power Point Working knowledge of Minitab.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required
TRAVEL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to sit. Minimal to no travel and ability to periodically work non-traditional business hours to support local and international suppliers.
