Axios Professional Recruitment is partnering with a growing West Michigan manufacturer to hire a Quality Assurance Specialist. This individual will play a key role in maintaining product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has quality assurance experience in an FDA-regulated environment and enjoys working in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities:

Monitor product quality and food safety throughout the manufacturing process. Complete and maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and compliance logs. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF standards, USDA Organic requirements, and FDA regulations. Train team members on food safety procedures and quality standards. Support corrective action initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Collect and manage product samples for laboratory testing, product development, and retention. Inspect products, equipment, and production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. Assist with internal and external audits, including SQF, Organic, and Kosher certifications. Promote a safe, quality-focused culture across the production team.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred. 3+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing or food processing experience strongly preferred. Experience working in a GFSI-certified facility (SQF, BRC, AIB, or similar) preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Positive attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Pay:

$24.71 - $29.76 per hour
