Join the Duro-Last team, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope and the world's largest manufacturer of custom-fabricated commercial roofing solutions. Were seeking a QA Tech Rep/Trainer who's ready to be part of an innovative, people-first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Assurance Technical Rep/Trainer is a customer-facing position responsible for training QA Technical Representatives and completing warranty inspections and service work orders. This person will work with the QA Regional Managers and the Sales Reps in their region to promote, sell, and support our products while controlling our long-term warranty liability.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Train all Technical Reps for their first 2 weeks in Michigan Headquarters. Complete rooftop inspections and service calls in assigned area when not training Continually coach and mentor teammates. Ability to read blueprints, construction drawings and specifications and be knowledgeable of the commercial roofing trade and technical field operations. Educate teammates on corporate policies and procedures. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or similar field with a minimum of 3 years experience working on the technical or installation side of commercial roofing 5 years active duty in a construction trade military occupied specialty (MOS) (verified by DD214) High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of practical commercial roofing experience
Required Computer and Software Skills:
Must posses basic computer office skills
Travel Requirements:
Must be able to travel overnight up to 25% of the time by air or car
Additional Requirements:
Experience as a Commercial Roofing Foreman, Supervisor, or leader of complex teams preferred. Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
