Job Description

Quality Analyst / Clerk For over 90 years, LECO has been a leader in the development and production of world class laboratory instruments delivering state of the art products nationwide and across the globe. Friday Position Summary:
The Quality Analyst is responsible for promoting employee quality awareness throughout the Corporation. The responsibilities and authority may vary as quality functions are delegated by the Director of Manufacturing or Quality Supervisor. Support Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Sales through quality planning. Administrator of all quality activities for the Instrument Manufacturing Division.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage Certification Program to ISO 9001, plans and procedures Ensure that all requirements of
ISO 9001
are implemented and controlled. Authorize all documentation necessary to the efficient development and implementation of
ISO 9001.
Responsible for the monitoring and review of information concerning external and internal issues of risk and opportunities. Review, update, and authorize the LECO Corporate Quality Management Plan Participate on the Material Review Board Coordinate and/or teach quality classes (Basic Quality Skills, ESD, Internal Auditing) Maintain employee Quality training records Identify quality goals Monitor supplier quality rating (Supplier mail in audits) in conjunction with Purchasing Review and update Quality Inspection Department Manual Review and update Quality Calibration Procedure Manual Schedule and/or perform internal audits on departments within the scope of
ISO 9001
Assist or lead audits Prepare and approve internal audit reports Prepare, approve, issue, and monitor Supplier Corrective Actions and Internal Corrective Actions Prepare Management Review Report for Management Generate quality reports as instructed by Management Enter data on returned material, customer quality concerns and internal monitoring of tested units Investigate, evaluate, process, and document Customer Quality Concerns Approve RMA Report for key management review Participate in the RMA meetings Monitor Customer Satisfaction survey and generate reports for Management Have access to Oracle for data entry and inquiry Assure the quality of products within the area of responsibility. Stop production and take corrective action to correct any conditions that would contribute to sub-standard quality if it can be corrected in an expedient manner. If it cannot, the Director of Quality/Test will be notified for final disposition Prepare SPC charts for various monitoring requirements Responsible for the monitoring, investigation, and reporting of 10CFR Part 21 nonconformances reported to Quality Pull nonconforming parts from stock Maintain area of responsibility to
ISO 9001
requirements Approve, update, and revise quality procedures, documents, and records Assist all employees and management on all
ISO 9001
related issues Ensure Quality support to all employees within LECO Assist with the implementation of ISO/17025 and
ISO17034
where needed
Position Requirements:
Minimum of 5-years experience in the area of quality Have knowledge of current quality control methods including statistical techniques Have knowledge and understanding of current ISO requirements Possess a working knowledge of corporate organizations, policies, and procedures Ability to develop logical detailed plans aimed at upgrading quality levels and quality systems Good working knowledge of LECO products, assembly processes, policies and procedures Possess communication and people skills

Preferred Qualifications:
ASQ Certifications as Certified Quality Auditor, Quality Improvement Associate, or Quality Process Analyst Associate degree EOE M/F/VET/Disability
