Job Description

Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for a Quality Technician for our client in Sterling Heights, MI.
Shift:
2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Saturday Job Summary We are seeking an entry-level Quality Technician to support manufacturing operations by ensuring production parts meet established quality standards through inspection, testing, and documentation. This role is responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify compliance with customer specifications and internal quality requirements. Core Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Conduct first-piece inspections and routine in-process quality checks on the production floor. Maintain accurate inspection records, quality logs, and testing data in company systems. Identify, tag, and isolate non-conforming materials or defective parts, and report findings to leadership. Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures. Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, or a production environment preferred; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and data entry. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Key Skills for Success Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.
