WSP is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Quality Assistant to support our Quality Department and manufacturing operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining quality documentation, supporting inspection and audit activities, and ensuring compliance with customer and quality-system requirements. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, has strong attention to detail, and can effectively balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on quality support. Key Responsibilities Create, revise, and maintain quality documentation in coordination with process leaders. Ensure updated procedures, work instructions, and other controlled documents are distributed to the appropriate departments. Maintain document control logs, revision records, and related documentation. Conduct scheduled daily Layered Process Audits (LPAs) and follow up on corrective actions and identified internal issues. Maintain quality alerts, including required employee sign-offs and placement in designated production books. Scan, organize, and upload quality records and documentation to the appropriate electronic folders. Support the maintenance and organization of quality records and files. Maintain department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist with tracking quality performance. Participate in cross-functional team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with quality system activities and projects as assigned. Support compliance with
IATF 16949, ISO 9001
, and customer-specific requirements. Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and other departments to address quality-related issues and improve processes. Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Department. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Quality, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. 2-3 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment preferred. Previous experience with IATF 16949 and/or
ISO 9001
quality systems is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality documentation is preferred. Required Knowledge & Skills Understanding of quality assurance principles and document control. Familiarity with SPC, Layered Process Audits (LPA), and nonconformance procedures . Awareness of quality-system requirements, including IATF 16949 and
ISO 9001.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately follow written procedures and instructions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods while working throughout the manufacturing facility. Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
