Quality Control Inspector (Machine Shop) $26
  • 30/hr.
DOE Days:
6.00 am
  • 4.30 pm Mon.
Thursday Weekend Shift:
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Work 36 and get paid for 40 hours) Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. This position requires a strong understanding of quality systems, as well as experience with QA/QC processes. The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, analyzing data, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations including. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the following:
  • Inspect to P.O. requirements and specifications incoming raw materials, mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Conduct complete first article inspection to assure process is correct before production run begins. Communicate findings in a respectful professional manner.
  • Perform in-process inspection of machined parts as required to assure adherence to specifications and procedures.
  • Conduct final inspection of finished product to confirm all operations have been completed to customer specification and assure that all required certifications and other documentation are in place for shipment.
  • Assist with writing of PPAP's and necessary documentation for first article inspections and follow through on submissions when necessary.
  • Use and maintain various inspection fixtures, gages and measuring devices to ensure that accurate measurements are completed. This would include the proper use of CMM, OGP and other like equipment. Work with quality manager to help problem solve, develop prevention methods and make recommendations for future runs as needed. Conduct and write corrective actions as needed and required.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment to assure accurate readings.
  • Work with production employees to maintain lot control and product traceability.
  • Maintain production standards, and record results into MES system as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret Job Travelers, engineering specs, drawings, blueprints and a working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Possess a working knowledge and is able to apply the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Possess an understanding of
ISO 9001
2015, AS9100D requirements.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized to company and department standards.
