2989940839-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Knife River is seeking a Quality Control Aggregate Field Technician to perform on-site testing and inspection of aggregates for construction projects. In this role, you will sample and test materials for gradation, moisture, and quality using field and lab equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and DOT standards. You will document results, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to supervisors and plant operators to support production adjustments. The position involves working outdoors at pits, quarries, and job sites, following strict safety procedures while contributing to high-quality, reliable infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Collect aggregate samples at pits, quarries, and job sites following standard procedures. Perform field and basic lab tests for gradation, moisture, and material quality. Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and promptly. Compare test data to project, DOT, and company quality specifications. Communicate findings to supervisors, plant operators, and project teams to support adjustments. Maintain testing equipment, tools, and vehicles in clean, safe working condition. Follow all Knife River safety policies, PPE requirements, and site-specific rules. Assist with documentation, quality records, and data entry into company systems. Travel between multiple job sites and aggregate facilities as needed. Support continuous improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
