The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that both company and customer quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of total quality management and will exemplify our core values of People, Integrity, and Excellence in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Quality Inspection and Control:
Program and run production inspections on CMMs, vision systems, or other metrology tools First-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components and tooling Conduct in-process inspections on the production floor to verify conformance during machining operations
Documentation and Compliance:
Complete accurate documentation, i.e. inspection reports, records, and Certificates of Conformance (COC) Manage nonconforming product and processes Maintain and update
ISO 9001
records
Communication and Problem Solving:
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and building rapport with colleagues, customers, and vendors Troubleshoot quality issues collaboratively with machinists, engineers, production teams, customers, and vendors Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T Knowledge of metrology equipment (CMM programming, etc.) Understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques Working familiarity with
ISO 9001
standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and documentation Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Preferred:
2-year degree in CNC machining Machining experience (e.g., CNC operation, tool & die making, or hands-on production machining, tight tolerances.)
