Quality Manager / Quality Supervisor Position Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Product Final Inspector to join our trailer manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing final inspections on completed trailers to ensure they meet company quality standards, engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable safety regulations before shipment. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to identify and document quality issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform final quality inspections on completed trailers before release and shipment. Inspect trailers for workmanship, fit, finish, dimensions, and overall build quality. Verify that components and assemblies are installed correctly and meet specifications. Inspect electrical, lighting, braking, suspension, structural, and other trailer systems as required. Identify defects, missing components, incorrect installations, and workmanship issues. Document inspection results and clearly communicate defects to production and quality personnel. Verify that identified defects have been corrected before final approval. Use measuring tools, gauges, checklists, drawings, and inspection documentation as needed. Maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports. Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and prevent repeat defects. Follow company safety procedures and quality-control processes. Assist with continuous-improvement efforts to improve trailer quality and reduce defects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, trailer manufacturing, automotive, welding, or a related field preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand basic mechanical systems. Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, work instructions, and inspection checklists. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while also working effectively with production teams. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work around trailers and manufacturing equipment for extended periods. Preferred Experience Quality-control or final-inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience inspecting trailers, vehicles, heavy equipment, or fabricated products. Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems. Experience using tape measures, calipers, gauges, torque tools, or similar inspection equipment. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
