Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. 1. Follow all safety practices including proper use of personal protective equipment. 2. Obtains required information from customers for all transactions, completes required purchasing and shipping documents, and conducts daily reconciliations. 3. Reviews all documents to ensure regulatory and company requirements are met. 4. Coordinate shipments (rail and truck), maintain safety records. 5. Responsible for processing paperwork on radiation events. 6. Cross train in cashier duties and responsibilities. 7. Perform other duties as assigned by management.Minimum Requirements:
1. 2 years' cash handling and direct customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. 2. High School diploma; college degree preferred. 3. Basic math, account reconciliation, computer and data entry skills. 4. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers. 5. Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. 6. Flexible to work off hours, weekends and holidays in an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions. 7. Basic computer knowledge for work related purposes. 8. 5 day work week- Mon•Fri 7:50am•4:15pm.
