Quality Technician Reports to:
Quality Engineer Shift:
Monday - Thursday 5:30AM-4:00PM with OT has needed
Location:
On-site New Albany, MS Pay:
$16.87 - 20.68/Hour This position works cross-functionally within the organization to improve quality levels to our customers and improve internal processes. The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, have previous experience in material inspections, audits, and using quality gauges. They also engage in developing quality systems, statistical analysis, and high-level problem-solving activities. Job Summary Ensure work instruction are being followed consistently Assist in the overall quality control of metal handling 100% quality inspection of all shipments Assist with audits throughout each day to ensure top quality standards are being met Assist in coordinating and implementing the quality management and quality improvement programs within the company. Work with Quality Engineer to improve processes Maintain documents and records according to procedures and work instructions. Maintain material traceability/scrap. Monitor and provide assistance with quality assurance/control functions as they relate to product manufacturing Assist with the preparation of documentation packages, data collection and report preparation. Conduct incoming material inspections and maintain material traceability Perform various other duties and activities within the physical constraints of the job. Minimum Job Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Project Management skills Minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to read job and material specifications, quality plans and define quality requirements, documentation requirements, etc. Proficient in reading and understanding engineered drawings, P&ID and blueprints Well organized with strong attention to details Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to communicate well across all functional areas Computer Literacy required
