We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector whose professional background is specifically centered on quality inspection within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of dedicated production or manufacturing inspection experience, including hands-on dimensional inspection using precision measuring equipment. Experience performing occasional quality checks as part of a production, assembly, or machine operator role alone will not meet the requirements for this position. Key Responsibilities Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, assemblies, and finished products. Verify products against engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements. Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using standard precision measuring equipment. Identify and document defects, discrepancies, and nonconforming material. Issue and review nonconformance documentation and assist with corrective action activities. Complete inspection reports, logs, quality records, and related documentation. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and complete required documentation. Verify reworked products meet applicable specifications before approval. Review engineering drawings, quality procedures, and technical requirements to determine inspection criteria. Communicate inspection findings and required corrections to Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel. Maintain inspection-related records, including calibration and quality tracking documentation. Support internal and external Quality Management System audits as needed. Assist with maintaining compliance with established quality procedures and manufacturing standards. Provide technical inspection support and help resolve quality issues in a timely manner. Work closely with Production and Quality teams to promote consistent product quality. Travel occasionally as required. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 5+ years of dedicated production, manufacturing, or quality inspection experience. Professional experience must demonstrate a primary focus on quality inspection, rather than inspection performed only as a secondary responsibility within production or assembly. Experience performing dimensional inspections using standard precision measuring equipment. Strong knowledge of visual inspection techniques and basic shop math. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and quality requirements. Experience working within a documented Quality Management System (QMS). Experience documenting inspection results and handling product nonconformances. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Preferred Qualifications Quality inspection experience within aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, electronics, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment. Experience working within an AS9100 and/or
ISO 9001
quality system. Experience performing First Article Inspections. Experience inspecting electro-optical, electronic, or ESD-sensitive components and assemblies. Familiarity with Certificates of Conformance (COCs), corrective actions, calibration requirements, and controlled quality documentation.
