Defiance Machine is considered the largest manufacturer of custom rifle actions and prides itself on the quality of its work and the customization of its options. The Defiance team works together to strive to be better by design, embodying the concept of defying mediocrity to achieve more. As a member of the Assembly and Quality Control team, the technician would perform final assembly, fitment, and inspection of rifle actions on a daily basis, filling other roles and receiving cross training in other areas as needed to grow your career and skillset. Each technician is trained to understand what matters most when it comes to checking each and every Defiance action that goes out the door. You will learn to identify any inconsistencies in the product before it becomes an issue for our customers. This position would work from our office in Columbia Falls, MT .

Key Responsibilities:

Read technical drawings, standard operating procedures, blueprints, and assembly instructions Build parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools Test finished goods for function and performance Inspect parts using tools like calipers and micrometers Record quality data and report any defects to supervisors Keep a clean and safe workspace

Job Requirements:

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools Strong attention to detail Must be able to pass a background check and legally be allowed to handle firearms Must be able to pass drug screening checks High school diploma or equivalent required Experience with firearms and/or hunting preferred, but not required Experience working in the firearms industry is preferred, but not required
