A manufacturing quality inspector examines materials, components, and finished goods to ensure they meet exact specifications and regulatory requirements. They identify defects, measure parts using precision instruments, and document findings to prevent faulty products from reaching the consumer. This position will be responsible for creating and owing our Quality Program.

To include as needed:

writing SOP's, modifying/creating forms needed to track data, maintaining all data, working internally with all departments to ensure quality is met.

Product Inspection:

Conduct visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and functional testing of incoming raw materials, in-process assemblies, and final products. Review specifications to compare to produced goods.

Defect Identification:

Reject, flag, or discard items that deviate from specifications or company quality standards. Determine the causes of defects and provide solutions to correct issues.

Documentation & Reporting:

Accurately log test data, fill out inspection reports. Report final analysis to team.

Compliance & Auditing:

Conduct routine audits of production processes to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and industry-standard regulations. Assist the production team with training on quality control measures to improve product excellence and proposing improvements to the production process.

Collaboration:

Partner with production supervisors and engineering teams to address root causes of defects and recommend process adjustments.

Essential Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical certifications or associate degrees in manufacturing or quality assurance are highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Tool Proficiency:

Experience using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Attention to

Detail:

High visual acuity and the ability to consistently focus on identifying flaws. Update knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training .

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
