PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting in-process products, and finished products for quality and compliance with specifications. The listed examples may not include all the duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Extensive use of drawings and written specifications in coordination with precision measuring instruments, devices, or gauges to ensure conformance with standards. Compares finished products with parts lists and assembly drawings to ensure accurate assembly. Checks for irregularities and defects, also records first off inspection reports and reports out of tolerance parts to production management. May check accuracy of gauges, scales and other measuring instruments. Works with department personnel to resolve quality problems. Ability to exercise individual initiative and discretion in confidential matters and to respect confidential matters. Excellent customer service capabilities with the ability to maintain friendly, courteous and tactful manner and clearly convey a willingness to be of service. Skills/Job Requirements Strong abilities to read and interpret design drawings and specifications. Positive, motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or in a cross-functional work team environment in cooperation with other employee and management to meet demands of our customers. Must wear & maintain proper PPE. Assist with any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Educational Requirements :

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Computer Requirements :

Willingness to learn software programs as needed.

Experience Needed:

QA experience in an industrial environment.
