This position performs heavy sewing using a serger sewing machine while following work instructions and product specifications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate a serger sewing machine to perform heavy sewing and complete assigned production orders 2. Review work instructions and product specifications and gather required raw materials 3. Inspect and prepare tools and equipment before startup and report abnormalities 4. Monitor product quality, identify nonconforming materials or products, and follow established procedures for corrective action 5. Maintain a clean and safe work area and assist with other production functions as directed
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Ability to operate a serger sewing machine and perform heavy sewing tasks 2. Ability to follow written work instructions, production specifications, and quality procedures 3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work 4. Ability to identify and report product, process, or equipment issues 5. Ability to follow workplace safety requirements and maintain a clean production area
