Job Title:
Quality Assurance Technician Job Description The Quality Assurance Technician - Hot Fill is responsible for ensuring product quality and food safety on high-speed hot fill production lines. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with manufacturing experience who understands the importance of precision, documentation, and timely decision-making in a production environment. Given the pace of the lines and the potential impact of quality issues, this position requires someone who can remain focused, work independently, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Responsibilities Conduct routine and in-process quality inspections on hot fill production lines. Verify product specifications, packaging, and labeling meet quality standards. Accurately document results and observations using electronic systems. Identify and escalate quality concerns to minimize product loss and downtime. Support investigations and corrective actions related to quality deviations. Follow GMPs, food safety requirements, and all plant quality procedures. Collaborate with Operations and QA leadership to support production goals. Essential Skills 1 to 3 years' relevant experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Ability to learn analytical and lab-related responsibilities. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literacy with basic proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and QA documentation systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the food/beverage industry or GMP environment is preferred. Experience with microbiology lab techniques is advantageous. Associate's degree or higher in general science, food science, microbiology or a related field is preferred. Prior quality or QA technician experience in manufacturing is beneficial. Familiarity with hot fill processes and food safety programs is a plus. Credibility and integrity in professional relationships. Work Environment The position will be on the manufacturing floor working hand in hand with the production operators. Sampling and testing will be done on the manufacturing floor, not in a lab most times. The environment is a very clean food supplier setting.
