Test Lab Tech Job Description:

Position Objective:

The Test Lab Technician is responsible for the preparation of test samples, testing products (including smolder and open flame testing of foam that results in exposure to smoke and various odors) plus the timely, accurate collection, data entry, and reporting of test results. They are also responsible for general cleanliness and orderliness of the Test Lab facility that includes the Test Lab saw, and surrounding area, Sample Storage area, and the Test Lab. Technician is also responsible for any other task as assigned by management. All tasks must be completed with a "Safety First" mind-set.

Candidates Requirements:

Ability to clear communicate in English verbally and in writing Ability to accurately and legibly record written test results Ability to operate a forklift and obtain a Future Foam license Ability to operate a band saw and make precision cuts with the saw Ability to operate a computer and access computer interface as needed Ability to interpret test specifications and instructions Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers, and exercise tact and discretion, especially when contact involves sensitive or confidential data.
