About the role The OSP Construction Inspector is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes to ensure Ripple Fiber offers superior fiber internet services. This role involves managing a team of quality control techs, developing and implementing quality control procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Construction Quality & Compliance Oversee fiber construction quality across the assigned market, ensuring adherence to company standards, industry best practices, and local codes. Review and validate construction photo deliverables, documentation, and quality checklists. Identify defects, non-conformances, and documentation gaps; track corrective actions through closure. Conduct periodic audits and field validations to ensure workmanship and documentation accuracy. Data Review & Reporting Analyze quality data, construction deliverables, and audit results to identify trends and risks. Maintain accurate records of findings, exceptions, and resolution evidence in company systems. Produce recurring and ad-hoc quality reports for internal leadership. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and Training teams to address quality issues and prevent recurrence. Provide field-driven feedback to support updates to standards, processes, and training materials. Continuous Improvement Identify systemic quality issues and recommend process improvements. Support development and refinement of construction standards, inspection criteria, and quality workflows. Contribute to training initiatives for internal teams and vendor partners.
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of experience in telecom construction, fiber network deployment, quality assurance, or field operations. Experience reviewing construction documentation, photo deliverables, and quality checklists. Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with FTTH construction methodologies (underground, aerial, drops). Familiarity with vendor governance and performance management. Experience working with quality dashboards, reporting tools, or construction management platforms. Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority. This role will be on-site, in-market, and requires some travel to job sites for supervision, inspection, and training purposes.
