Updated 08/28/2026 Job Description Job Summary Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Aviation Quality Inspector to join the Product Inspection team. This role is critical in monitoring full adherence to various manufacturing and quality processes within our facility to ensure compliance with stringent quality and regulatory standards in the aviation industry. The ideal candidate is an inspector and technical expert passionate about process confirmation, manufacturing, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units, subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds Use various measuring devices and precision measurement tools to dimensionally inspect parts, subassemblies, and assemblies Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems per specifications Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specs, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists Working from drawings/CATIA, documents, process specs, quality control requirements, software programs, and test procedures, perform inspections of parts, subassemblies, assemblies, processes, and materials Initiate and document any non-conforming materials, hardware, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof per specifications, processes, and procedures Inspect vendor, subcontractor, or company parts and assemblies Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from previous lot have been removed May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures Prepare and maintain Quality records and follow pre-determined sequence of own work Support continuous flow of products by cross-training and assisting other employees including cross-training in Assembly Technician functions Complete other duties as required by leadership; training and certification provided as needed Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering/methods, or similar role within aviation industry - Required 5 years experience in QA/QC, manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering/methods, or similar aviation role - Preferred
Required Qualifications:
Precision Measurement Tools Blueprint/Drawings interpretation First Article Inspection (FAI) Must be willing and able to work any shift and overtime Must be willing and able to work from motorized elevated platforms WorkKeys Assessment completion or High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Skills:
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Strong knowledge of aviation Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), and FOD programs, preferably in manufacturing Proficient in Manufacturing tools (MES) and QMS used in manufacturing environments Experience with aerospace-specific tools such as SAP and MES systems preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction across all levels; effective English communication in multicultural environment Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaborative team environment High degree of flexibility and initiative
Education:
Associate's Degree in Aviation, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred, but not required; Bachelor's preferred
