Job Description
We are looking for a weekend day and a weekday night QA Technician. They are both 12 hour shifts. There is premium pay associated with these positions. The weekend day(Fri-Sun) is 36 hours and get paid for 40 plus premium pay.
General Description:
The QA laboratory technician is responsible for the inspection and testing of manufacturing processes and products to ensure product quality. The technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment devices, follow testing protocols, guarantee compliance to production procedures, document all findings and observed/measured data, and maintain records traceability. The technician will also assist to ensure nonconforming product is appropriately identified and quarantined from production flow until properly dispositioned.Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Monitor production processes 2. Conduct necessary quality inspections using proper equipment and techniques 3. Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection reports 4. Make sure products meet required specifications. 5. Ensure production personnel are following proper procedures (during production checks) 6. Ensure employees adhere to safety and quality procedures 7. Communicate effectively and thoroughly to management and peers any test results or inspection findings outside of specification. 8. Report safety and quality infringements to quality/production management 9. Other duties as required by quality/production managementFor PEX Extrusion Products:
- Be able to safely collect PEX samples from production lines, as needed.
- Be able to verify that correct labeling and packaging materials are being implemented.
- Be able to perform the following tests on collected line samples: o Burst Testing o Density Testing o
Crosslink Testing For Injection Molded Products:
- Be able to safely collect samples (every 2 hours).
- Be able to review and verify the proper operating parameters of the injection molding presses. This should include, but not limited to pressures, temperatures, alarms, etc.
- Be able to perform the following tests on the collected injection molded parts: o Optical inspections (internal and external features of the parts) o Dimensional measurements o Weight checks o
Flex Test Requirements:
- Basic math skills
- Understanding and familiarity with dimensional inspection gauges.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
