Full Job Description Overview:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist plays a vital role in advancing continuous improvement and maintaining high quality standards across Amivie. In this position, the specialist ensures operational adherence to regulatory guidelines, compliance requirements, and standards for quality care. Additionally, the role involves analyzing organizational risk, leading internal investigations into cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and implementing corrective action plans.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Serve as an active member of the Quality Management Committee to advance key agency priorities and promote optimal health and quality of life for individuals served through foundational policies, proactive strategies, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives. Establish and sustain compliance standards via ongoing internal assessments. Assist the Quality Management Directors with regulatory compliance, internal and external oversight, system advocacy, and quality assurance and improvement efforts. Assist with national accreditation efforts, staying updated on and actively involved in evolving accreditation standards. Uphold policy compliance and promote standardized procedures across operations wherever feasible. Execute internal investigations and Root Cause Analyses while maintaining strict confidentiality and high ethical standards; collaborate and assist in formulating corrective action plans to mitigate risk. Perform internal audits and chart reviews while maintaining strict confidentiality. Support adherence to risk management procedures, including internal evaluations and incident reporting, aiming to enhance protocols and mitigate risks across the organization, staff, providers, and individuals served. Assist with continuous quality improvement initiatives to drive enhanced outcomes, improve satisfaction, and optimize operational efficiency. Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively while meeting tight deadlines. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/ Competency/ Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Human Services, Education, Quality Management, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience in home care, healthcare operations, compliance, quality assurance, or a related healthcare setting may be considered in lieu of or in combination with formal education. Demonstrated knowledge of quality standards, compliance requirements, healthcare operations and/or home care practices preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, employees, leadership, and external stakeholders. Demonstrates a high level of integrity, professionalism, ethical character, and commitment to confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
