First Shift Job Summary:
MS Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support a high-volume assembly manufacturing environment for a confidential automotive manufacturing client in Battleboro, North Carolina. This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, supplier performance, and internal quality standards are consistently maintained across the production process. The Quality Assurance Specialist will investigate product issues, support supplier quality tracking, coordinate non-conforming material processes, and maintain reporting mechanisms that support continuous improvement and operational transparency. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in quality assurance within an automotive or assembly manufacturing environment , strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. This is a first-shift, contract-to-hire opportunity offering the potential for long-term growth within a stable manufacturing operation. Required Skills & Qualifications Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered: Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent work experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control Minimum 2+ years of experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing environment Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, tools, and methodologies used in automotive manufacturing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate product quality issues Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and customers Experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office for reporting and data tracking Ability to work effectively in a production-oriented assembly manufacturing environment Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Skills & Qualifications The following experience would strengthen a candidate's profile but is not required: Experience in automotive manufacturing or component assembly environments Familiarity withIATF 16949, ISO
9001, or other automotive quality standards Automotive quality certifications or formal quality training Experience supporting supplier quality programs or supplier scorecards Exposure to root cause analysis and corrective action processes Experience working with inventory disposition or non-conforming material processes Familiarity with ERP or quality management software systems Day-to-Day Responsibilities The Quality Assurance Specialist will support quality assurance operations across production and supplier activities, including: Investigating and resolving quality issues related to incoming and outgoing products Maintaining supplier performance scorecards and key performance indicators (KPIs) including scrap tracking Coordinating return of non-conforming material (RMA processes) using internal systems Managing supplier debit and credit adjustments for chargebacks Supporting inventory disposition and adjustment processes with internal departments Conducting production process audits within the assembly manufacturing environment Preparing and maintaining quality and operational reports for management review Serving as a communication liaison between suppliers, customers, and internal departments Supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and process reliability Physical and Environment Requirements Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the role may include: Regular presence in a manufacturing and assembly production environment Walking, standing, and moving between production areas and office space Ability to lift and handle components or assemblies up to approximately 35 pounds Ability to visually inspect small components and finished assemblies Exposure to a non-climate-controlled production environment Company Benefits & Culture MS Companies partners with industry-leading manufacturers across North America to support critical production, quality, and operational functions.
