Job Description

The inspector performs inspections on rebar, form, concrete, earthwork, and structural steel throughout the site to ensure that the quality of work adheres to project specifications and governing codes. They must possess knowledge of concrete, rebar, underground activities, foundation, structural and construction materials, and processes used for each activity. All inspection activities must be documented on the appropriate forms, Inspection and Test Records (ITRs ,) or other media approved by the project's ITP or SOP for validation. Required Qualifications -
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Minimum of 3 years' related experience within industrial construction A working knowledge of
ACI/ASTM/RCSC
codes and standards relating to civil and structural work Generally familiar with Microsoft Office Package. Familiar with other computer packages (e.g., MS Project, Outlook, Bluebeam, etc.) Personal characteristics of attention to detail and conviction to reject work that does not meet expectations and not influenced by peer pressure.
Preferred Qualifications Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :
5 years of related field work as a craft supervisor or above. ACI Level I Concrete Field Testing Relevant educational or certification requirements, such as a degree in engineering, NCCER certification(s) or a quality control certification(s) Perform examinations, inspections, or tests as required by the project approved ITPs, project management and/or client/owner. Generates the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, writes and sends to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports. Completes and maintains inspection, test, examination, and Quality Control Records. Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, verifies procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls, and inspections.
