Job Summary Flow Sciences is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced laboratory containment solutions that protect people, processes, and products in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research industries. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician who is passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and ensuring products consistently meet the highest standards. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for performing inspections, verifying product quality, and ensuring manufacturing processes comply with company specifications and quality standards. This role serves as a technical resource within the Quality Department, assisting in problem-solving, identifying process improvements, and ensuring nonconforming products do not reach internal or external customers. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) and document inspection results. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product conformity. Identify, investigate, and communicate quality issues to Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, and other departments. Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing and quality-related concerns. Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records. Assist with the review, disposition, and tracking of nonconforming materials. Support the Quality Manager in maintaining the Nonconformance Tracking System and corrective action process. Participate in internal audits, ISO 9001 compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain organized work areas by supporting 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices. Assist in training employees on quality standards and inspection methods as needed. Support root cause investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

Required High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of quality control or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools. Working knowledge of

Quality Management Systems. Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Preferred Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. Experience in containment engineering controls, laboratory equipment manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, or life sciences manufacturing. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and electronic quality management systems. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Work environment and reporting Physical & Environmental Requirements Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor with regular exposure to machinery, fabrication equipment, and assembly operations. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to use standard inspection equipment, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments. Requires visual acuity to inspect parts, read engineering drawings, identify defects, and perform detailed measurements. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes, is required while working in designated production areas. May be exposed to moderate noise levels, welding operations, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing facility. Must be able to safely navigate the production floor and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
