We are seeking an Electrical QA/QC Specialist to support quality on a large-scale mission-critical data center project in Bismarck, ND . About the Role The Electrical QA/QC Specialist makes sure electrical work is installed correctly, tested properly, and documented completely before it moves to commissioning and turnover. You'll be in the field every day, inspecting installations, witnessing tests, tracking issues to closure, and working closely with electrical contractors, testing agencies, and the commissioning team. What You'll Do Field Inspections Inspect electrical installations against drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and the NEC Verify conduit, cable tray, busway, and cable installations, including pulls, routing, supports, and separation Check terminations, torque verification, grounding and bonding, and labeling Inspect installation of switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers, PDUs, and related equipment Participate in pre-installation meetings, first-work inspections, and final inspections Testing and Verification Witness and review electrical testing, including insulation resistance (megger), continuity, and NETA acceptance testing Coordinate with third-party testing agencies and review test reports for completeness and accuracy Support pre-functional checks and hand off installation-complete equipment to the commissioning team Support manufacturer startups and factory witness tests as needed Documentation and Issue Tracking Maintain inspection reports, checklists, test records, and quality logs Log deficiencies, communicate corrective actions, and verify issues are closed out Build and maintain turnover packages for electrical systems Report quality status and trends to project leadership Collaboration Work daily with electrical contractors, superintendents, project engineers, commissioning agents, and owner representatives Review submittals and shop drawings for quality concerns Share lessons learned and help improve quality processes across the project What You Bring Required 5+ years of electrical construction, electrical QA/QC, or electrical testing experience on commercial or industrial projects Strong working knowledge of the NEC and
NFPA 70E
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and submittals Hands-on experience inspecting medium and low voltage electrical installations Experience documenting inspections and tracking deficiencies to closure Preferred Data center or mission-critical project experience Journeyman or Master Electrician license NETA certification (Level II or higher) Electrical inspector certification (ICC or IAEI) OSHA 30 Experience working alongside commissioning teams Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, or similar platforms Skills Strong attention to detail and a high standard for workmanship Clear, direct communication with trades and leadership Ability to manage multiple priorities on a fast-paced, schedule-driven project Comfortable holding the line on quality while keeping working relationships positive ATL1
