Quality Assurance Job Title :
Quality Assurance Technician Position Overview :
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of materials and production processes. This role involves conducting tests, performing spot checks, and verifying raw materials to ensure compliance with established standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to uphold the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Adhere to all
ISO 9000
requirements, company policies, and safety guidelines to ensure high-quality products. Maintain regular and punctual attendance, working 40 hours per week. Conduct various tests and spot checks to monitor material quality and production control. Perform pre-production testing to verify material integrity before it is released to the production floor. Utilize various operational procedures, including: Operation standards and lot number systems. Plastic material item number cross-referencing. Inspection points and color code systems for accurate assessments. Verify incoming raw materials and component items to ensure they meet the specified standards. Manage document control for all quality-related materials, including procedures, lot cards, customer drawings, and relevant certifications.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during the shift. Requires good eyesight, with or without corrective lenses.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic math competency required. Previous QA experience preferred. Proficiency with PC applications, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities :
Follow and enforce company policies and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Foster effective communication between departments to ensure seamless workflows and issue resolution. Maintain document control systems for parts, materials, and certifications to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare and maintain reports and data as requested by management. Cross-train and assist with other departments as needed to enhance team flexibility and efficiency.
Supervision :
This position reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : Mandatory safety glasses. Wrist, back, and hearing protection available as needed.
