Job Description
onsemi is seeking a QA/QC Technician to support wafer fabrication and metrology operations. Reporting to the Metrology/Characterization Manager, this role helps ensure products, processes, and materials meet internal quality standards and customer requirements. The technician will handle wafers in the cleanroom, etch room, and inspection areas while supporting wafer inspection, cleaning, metrology, and etch-related processes. High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred. Three or more years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing preferred. Quality control or quality assurance background strongly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to enter and maintain accurate data. Ability to use inspection tools such as dial calipers and micrometers. Familiarity with SPC, quality systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES). Experience operating optical inspection, microscopy, laser-based metrology, automated defect detection, CMM, microscope, or X-ray equipment. Skilled in the use of inspection tools and works well both independently and as a team player, strong work ethics. Demonstrated knowledge on
