Job Description

Simply good bread starts with a great team. Help us lead ours! At The Bread Shed, we make wholesome, handmade breads, soft pretzels, and artisanal baked goods for local grocery stores and restaurants. We're a locally owned, woman-owned production bakery with a hardworking, supportive crew. We take pride in what we make and value people who care about the details, support their teammates, and show up ready to contribute. We're looking for a hands-on Bakery Production Assistant Manager who enjoys helping people succeed and keeping a busy production day organized. If you communicate clearly, lead by example, and balance encouragement with accountability, we'd love to meet you! Together, you'll help the team understand the plan, stay focused, and navigate challenges as they arise. This is an active, on-the-floor leadership position. You'll work alongside the crew while keeping an eye on the bigger picture: checking progress, anticipating bottlenecks, adjusting assignments, and communicating concerns to the Bakery Manager. Success means knowing when to jump in, when to delegate, and when to ask for guidance.
