About the Opportunity We're recruiting for an established steel fabrication company looking to add an experienced AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to its quality team. This is a hands-on position suited to a CWI with a strong welding background who enjoys working closely with production teams and ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the fabrication process. What You'll Be Doing Carry out dimensional and visual inspections Complete Inspection & Test Plans and QC documentation Monitor welding activities and verify procedures Inspect fabricated components against drawings and specifications Identify and document quality issues Perform NDT where qualified Maintain accurate inspection records Work closely with production and quality teams Provide technical support when required Assist with training and supporting other team members What We're Looking For AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) 5+ years of welding experience Structural steel or heavy fabrication experience preferred Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances and fabrication processes Good attention to detail and documentation skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills Physically capable of performing the requirements of the role Additional Experience... Experience with NDT or additional inspection qualifications would be advantageous.
