Job Description

Job Summary Filtrine Manufacturing Company is seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled QC/Test Tech to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring the proper operation of refrigeration and chilling systems prior to completion. This is a second shift (3pm-11:30pm) position. Pay is commensurate with experience. Key Responsibilities Perform testing of chilling and refrigeration systems by evacuating systems, charging them with refrigerant, and checking for leaks and proper operation. Identify and repair minor system leaks using soldering and brazing techniques. Troubleshoot refrigeration, cooling, electrical, and control system issues. Install and plumb various types of piping and associated components. Diagnose potential problems and make appropriate adjustments or repairs. Follow drawings, specifications, work instructions, and supervisor direction. Verify completed systems meet quality and operational requirements. Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments. Work independently when necessary while contributing positively as part of a team. Qualifications Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems required. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and controls required. Experience with piping, plumbing, soldering, and brazing. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Ability to follow directions and identify potential problems before they affect system performance. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good verbal communication skills. PLC programming knowledge is preferred.
