This position is offering a pay range of $24•$26.44/hr. however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Job Essential Functions:
Perform precision mechanical inspections from dimensioned drawings using calipers, micrometers, surface plate, height gages, gage blocks, gage pins, optical comparator, toolmakers microscope, coordinate measuring machine, and other standard inspection equipment. Perform visual inspections of electronic assemblies using microscopes & magnifiers. Perform first article inspections and generate detailed reports when required. Communicate discrepant findings verbally and via written discrepancy reports to Supplier Quality Engineers/Technicians (SQE/SQT). Independently perform source inspection at local suppliers. Participate in MRB meetings to support SQE/SQT"s. Accurately maintain records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures Identify equipment needs for jobs requiring new or custom metrology tools. Identify Dock to Stock (DTS) candidates per established procedures. Present nominations to SQE. Work closely with buyers, planners, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers and program leadership. Support SQE/SQT with routine supplier audits when required.
Qualification:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Experience maintaining records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
IPC-A-610
Certification Hexagon CMM certification (PC-DMIS software) Keyence Vision system programming experience Optical lens inspection experience
Education & Experience:
Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Overall Summary:
Developing support individual contributor. Works under general supervision. Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in process or final assemblies. Reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.
Nature of Supervision:
Works under general supervision. Less detailed instructions are provided and moderate peer review is required.

Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.

Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures. Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
