JOB PURPOSE
An inspector at RG Machine confirms the quality of manufactured parts are to the customers and RG Machine internal standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
Follow all safety protocol including participating in any mandatory meetings. Works with the RG Machine management team and staff to maintain good workflow and improve operations. Ensures RG Machine meets customers' requirements and quality standards. Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to person running the job. Performs quality checks and provides/maintains a record of such process. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting material as needed. Examines parts for burrs, nicks, dents, scratches, etc. Inspects parts according to date and priority. Creates/ Maintains corrective action and nonconformance reports using RG Machine's ERP system. Ensures all inspection equipment is up to date on calibrations utilizing RG Machines software for documentation. Performing calibrations in house when needed. Keeps a clean and orderly work environment. Performs miscellaneous tasks management may ask you to perform. Miscellaneous tasks may include helping with backlogged areas of the shop when needed. CMM. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Education Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience Required:
3+ years in a mechanical inspection position or equivalent.
Preferred:
5+ years' experience in an inspector position or equivalent.
Special Knowledge/ Skills Required:
Ability to use or learn to use all inspection equipment while deciphering dimensions and directions from customer prints.
ISO 9001
knowledge Applies knowledge of GD&T to customers drawing and quality requirements. Working through our ISO standard and applying the ability to implement improvements to help RG Machine hold a higher standard of product. Report any non-conformance in a timely manner to management so a disposition can occur. Work with manufacturing communicating /identifying discrepancies on 1stpc approval.
Preferred:
CMM experience.

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
